Freshman on the Hill

We had the first Freshman Transition Weekend a few weeks ago. It was dumping rain the whole time and we ran in and out of the yurts to stay dry and do all of our activities. The group was so authentic and real. I could ask them questions like, "Who would you thank so far at school," or "What do you miss about home?" And get these real, heartfelt answers. Maybe it's just me but I think anyone who is feeling jaded or cynical about young people should go camping for a couple of days and risk asking some real questions.
